Dr. Swift students travelled to Cold Lake on Friday March 26th to participate in the regional Science Olympics competition. Each team consisted of 5 players and competed against other grade 7 & 8 teams from Cold Lake and Bonnyville (there were 12 teams in total). The main goals of the event are for the students to learn a bit about science and team work, but most importantly organizers want the students to have fun. Our teams (one grade 6 team, two grade 7 teams and a team made up of grade 8 students) did very well winning a gold and a silver in the three events.
This club is for students who love to run or want to improve as runners. Distance running Fun runs, relays and special running events are scheduled throughout the year.
